I’m afraid I lost the August Reading Challenge. I must admit I haven’t finished any book in weeks. Either my schedule won’t permit me to read (going to bed really tired, mentally and physically) or when I do have the time, I just don’t have the drive to read and would just like to catch up on sleep.
I just have to excuse myself from finishing this challenge because I don’t think I can squeeze in even a book before the month ends.
If you haven’t seen an episode yet, I suggest you try and watch HBO’s True Blood. You’ll get hooked, I swear! If you can get past the nudity and the blood and gore, you will really like the story.
Anyway, I’m done with Season 1, watched 9 episodes of Season 2 already and I am highly anticipating episode 10. Here’s a preview…

I can’t wait for Maryann to die! I am also reading Dead in Dallas now, Book 2 of The Southern Vampire Mysteries. It’s different and I love comparing the book and the series.
Are you watching this series like I do? What do you think of it so far?
I missed 2 BTT questions so I thought I’d answer the past 2 weeks plus this week’s BTT in this post…
What’s the funniest book you’ve read recently? I actually can’t remember reading anything funny recently. I’ve read Meg Cabot’s The Boy Next Door more than a year ago and it’s funny. Does that count? Now, I am thinking I should read more funny books. Any suggestions?
What’s the most serious book you’ve read recently? The Shack by William P. Young is the most recent serious book I’ve read. It is really good. I will post a separate review of it.
What’s the worst book you’ve read recently? That Christine Feehan book the title of which I can’t remember because of the ghastly story.
