Brief Review: The Tales of Beedle the Bard

If you’ve read the last book from the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, you know that this book played a big role in the quest for the three hallows.

The book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, is a children’s book by J.K. Rowling. It is a fictional Wizarding children’s tales by Beedle the Bard and is supposed to be the counterpart of the Muggle’s (non-magic people) fairy tales for kids.

I find the book funny and I can see myself reading a book like this if I am still a little girl. I love the 5 tales and my favorite is The Warlock’s Hairy Heart. It is a different way to teach a lesson but it is entertaining and Dumbledore’s commentary can be hilarious and sarcastic at the same time. You need not have read any of the Harry Potter books to understand Beedle. It is light reading and you can finish the book in an hour or less.

I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars.

It's a shame there won't be any more Harry Potter books, they're among my favourites. The Tales of Beedle the Bard was a welcome surprise though. I hope J K Rowling has a few more surprises in store. :-)
