I am in my reading mode once again. Whenever I read a book that’s really good, I get down from the high I was in and won’t go look for another book for a few days, sometimes weeks. But this time around, I feel like reading books after books after books. Good thing I still have some unopened books with me. Plus, I also have ebooks that I can re-read.
Such is the life of a bookworm like me. Can’t live without my books. Truth be told, I look forward to reading a good book more than shopping for clothes! *grins
I miss a lot of good movies. Sometimes, even when I am highly anticipating a movie, I still miss it due to some unforeseen circumstances. So what I do is, I list down the movies and wait for it in HBO or buy the DVD.
I love HBO! There are movies that I am unaware of that I found through that cable channel. I found Hilary Swank’s Freedom Writers through HBO, Dwayne Johnson’s Gridiron Gang, and the one that I love the most right now the movie, Front of the Class!
Needless to say, I love inspirational movies. Some old movies that I have missed and am basically unaware of I find in HBO. Thank goodness for that.
Because of some tweets I read, it got me thinking what would happen to everything you own virtually if you die all of a sudden? Who would renew your domains or update your blogs? What will happen to sites you worked so hard for? Who can access your cpanel?
Life is scary at times. You can end up dead in a minute and you won’t see it coming.
I get inspiration from unusual subjects. It strikes at odd hours and when it does, I seize the opportunity. Like this beautiful photo…
It inexplicably drew me in when I saw it. Inspiration struck…
I was able to formulate a plan on how to get rid of pests in our lives. And the one I am preparing for this coming 2010. I am keeping my fingers crossed it will all work out for the better.
I just love going to book fairs. I must admit that I can lose myself in a bookstore or any place that has shelves full of books for hours. Literally standing on the same spot for an hour or so. I swear I’ve been doing this for years! No one in the family can understand this obsession with books. Most of my sisters read novels like me. But I am the voracious reader among us.
Reading can take away your boredom. It can help you go to places you’ve never even dreamed of. It can stimulate your mind for it to avoid being idle (and a playground for bad thoughts). It can enhance your vocabulary and knowledge of certain things. It can do you a world of good for all you know.
I am checking out local book fairs I can go to. Hopefully, the next one I go to I can grab a couple of interesting books from.
This movie is guaranteed to make paranoids out of all of us. I just watched this trailer and I got goosebumps. Well, who really knows when the world’s going to end? If it’s even going to end, right? I think this movie should just reinforce what the church teaches us that we should always be prepared for the judgment day.
