The Godfather

The Godfather

The Godfather by Mario Puzo is a very memorable book to me. I remember staring at it most of that summer when I was in my teens. I lived at my grandma’s house that summer and my cousins who lived nearby was having their house renovated. They moved all their books to my grand-aunt’s room where I sleep. I was warned not to touch any of the books. So I didn’t. But I was so curious with the books especially the one which I could see the most from the heap. The Godfather by Mario Puzo.

I had about less than five books back then. Those books were Bible stories. I wanted to have my own paperbacks and I was so envious of the books my older cousins have.

I think that is one of the reasons why I love hoarding books. It started with that book I wanted to touch and read so much.

But let me tell you something… the truth is, I haven’t read The Godfather yet. I haven’t bought that book even when I could afford already and I started buying some. I have seen the movies but the book remained a memory to me.
