Can’t stop reading!

When I start reading, I can’t stop myself. That’s how it has always been with me. If I feel that I can finish a book in one seating, then I do it. I don’t stop until I finish.

I remember when I was still working in the corporate world. I used to go to the office so darn sleepy. It’s because I finished a novel in one reading! My co-workers would just shake their heads because they knew the reason for my sleepiness. Hahaha!

Right now, while working, I am also reading a romance novel. Sigh. How can I finish work when I am more focused on reading?

:D

Fashionista!

Carol is a fashionista! I swear, when you open her closet, you’d find almost all types of clothes there. I even saw some apple bottoms that I like!

Carol invited us over for housewarming. We, along with my sisters, toured her townhouse and we weren’t surprised anymore when we realized that she has a walk-in closet. The smaller bedroom near hers was transformed into her own walk-in closet and it actually looked like a mini department store! The woman really hoards a lot of clothes!

Well, she can afford it. We figured we’re not really entitled to question her about her shopping habits, right?

;)

Backup copies saved the day!

Nate was busy with his cad drawings. He was oblivious to what’s happening outside the house. He didn’t know there was a storm brewing so he was not prepared for the heavy downpour. All the windows of his home office were open. The wind blew and the important papers near the windows were soaked with the rain!

Good thing Nate was able to scan copies of his important documents before it happened. He had backup copies and he was able to print it again. If he had no copies, I don’t think he would be able to present properly his projections and plans.

Poor health

Jill will be conducting a seminar about working moms. She is a working mom herself. She knows how hard it is for moms to be juggling work and home lives. There will always be a sacrifice to make. But one of the things Jill wants the working moms to remember, and will be one of the main topics of her seminar, is looking after one’s health.

Not because working moms are too busy that they will just dismiss being overweight. The best fat burners are out in the market. The gyms are there and they can work out even on weekends. Proper diet can also promote good health and weight loss.

I can relate even though I am not yet a mom. I’ve been doing too much stuff all at once and not working out or eating properly. I tell you, my health is not good right now because of my bad habits. I ought to attend Jill’s seminar!

A windfall

Lacey will buy gold bullion before the month ends. She got a windfall and she’s afraid she’ll just use up her entire windfall on nothing. So she wants to use the money to invest. Lacey already has her savings to fund the purchase. She just wants to be sure that she will get something in return. Increase in interest income, perhaps?

So now she will be investing in gold. She is reading the USGoldBureau.om site to be sure she knows what she’s really getting herself into. Information is the key. If you also want to buy gold, then go to the site now and know more about it.

Piano and books

Piano and books

My sister and I always talk about what our lives would be five, ten years from now. I keep on telling her that I will have my own house and I will fill it with books. From floor to ceiling! That’s a dream of mine. To have a house that looks like a library. I will also buy a grand piano. It will be my diversion.

Getting sick…

It’s expensive when you get sick these days. You cannot bring yourself to a good hospital if you don’t have enough money with you. You can expect to be drained of your savings account if you need a pile of medicines you need to take. Worse, if you are diagnosed with a terminal disease, or something really bad, expect to be drained totally!

As early as today, set up a health savings account. You need that. We all need one. It’s not easy being sick. What more if you are sick and also worried about where to get the money for your medical check-ups and medicines. So take the last one off your worries. Make sure you have a health savings account always ready for when you get sick.

So many plans

I have so many plans for our home. I want the kitchen, dining area and the bathrooms renovated. I want new interiors. I am buying a smaller dining set for us, a space saver. The same goes for the kitchen, I want stuff that are space savers because we have limited space at home. If we will keep on buying the regular-sized stuff, we will drown in a sea of home items. For the bathroom, I want a Robern Medicine cabinet. It will also serve as the lone mirror in it.

If I only have more than enough funds, I would have just asked someone to build a new house for us. Alas, it cannot be. Not now anyway.
