I’ve been grabbing a lot of books lately. I ‘liked’ a Facebook page for reading addicts like me. Of course there are recommendations by the page admin as well as other members like me. You can bet I have been buying copies of all the books I like.

I found Lisa Schroeder, Gayle Forman and other authors through recommendations in that page.

I have started reading I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder already. Can’t wait to start on the other books I found!

I do believe in encouraging a kid to get a hobby. If your kid asks for books, go ahead and buy him/her some. If he/she asks for a sketch pad, go ahead buy one and get a set of colors and paints, too. If your kid asks for binoculars, get two, the other one is for you. So you can guide your kid while using his.

When I was a kid, I run and run with my cousins. I climbed trees, jumped from high places, slid down banisters, and did all the things kids do. When I turned 12, that’s when I discovered the joys of reading. My mom encouraged me to read and I did. Reading became a passion of mine.

So encourage your kids to do the things they want to do. Good ones, of course. In the future, who knows, it might be the field in which they will excel.

I’ve been buying books left and right for the past few weeks now. It’s wrecking havoc to my savings account but, as my sister said, if it’s making me happy…

I want a copy of this book by Anthony Bourdain. Kitchen Confidential. I am one of the many women who are in love with this foodie. I love the man! He is charm personified. You won’t get tired watching him eat one dish after another. You won’t get tired listening to his voice drone on and on.

I had to stop reading Willow from time to time because I kept being distracted by other books that I have. Yesterday, I decided to finally continue reading the book and I am now 60% done with it.

I had to stop for a while. But it’s not because I am distracted by my other books again. It’s just the book is a bit heavy emotionally. It’s not just about a teen-aged girl cutting. It’s more than that.

Anyway, I will post a review of it as soon as I finish the book. And I intend to finish it the soonest time possible.

Tintin is researching about homemade acne remedies. She once suffered from acne back when she was in her late teens. She wants to be able to help younger cousins deal with acne and not suffer the same fate as she did. She suffered from inferiority complex because of her acne and became an introvert for a long time. It was only a few years ago that she was able to overcome those things that she suffered from in the past.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Orlando vacations. Who doesn’t want to go to Orlando and visit those theme parks it is famous for? I would love to go on a vacation. Orlando is a good place to be in since I am still young at heart. I would love to go from one theme park to the next. I would love that very much!

I can probably just stay at the beach and read. That would also be fine with me.

When I was a little kid, I remember a neighbor with a mansion-like house. They had a big garden where there were wooden swing sets for the three kids living there. I was envious of the swing sets because I wanted to have one of my own. The parents couldn’t afford it. My dad just made me a swing made out of net.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a good memory. Now, though, because I can afford it already, I am getting one for the little kid at home. She will surely enjoy the swing set with her playmates.
