Eat, Pray, Love

People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master…

Happy mid-week to all!

YA from books to movies

I heard that some of the really good Young Adult books that I’ve been reading are going to be adapted into movies. Yes! I love this kind of news! Some books that were turned into a movie don’t even deserve to be featured and some that are worthy are being set aside for more shallow ones.

So I’d really love to see the good ones given the attention it deserves. One of the books I heard that was bought by a big movie outfit is If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I heard Summit Entertainment, the same company behind the Twilight Saga movies, bought it and that Dakota Fanning is set to star in it. That’s good news! I also heard that the Fallen by Lauren Kate is already bought by Disney.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

narnia-dawn-treader

If plans push through, my friend and I will be watching the movie tomorrow. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I am excited! This is one of the movie series left that we can look forward to after the Harry Potter series.

Anyway, I’ll let you know how I find the movie tomorrow night. I just wish the oldest brother is still there…

Deathly Hallows Part 1

Deathly Hallows Poster

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows the movie part 1.

Are you excited to see the movie like me? I’ve watched the trailers. I’ve seen two more posters. I’ve seen a number of movie stills.

I am excited!!!

How many more days to go before the opening again?

Dracula

Dracula

The fair girl went on her knees and bent over me, fairly gloating. There was a deliberate voluptuousness which was both thrilling and repulsive, and as she arched her neck she actually licked her lips like an animal… I could feel the soft, shivering touch of the lips on the supersensitive skin of my throat, and the hard dents of two sharp teeth, just touching and pausing there.
- Bram Stoker, Dracula

One of my favorite books, Dracula by Bram Stoker. I do believe it’s still the most sensual vampire movie I’ve seen. Especially since I am a huge fan of Gary Oldman! ;)

Movies I’ve watched recently

I still owe you my reviews on Letters to Juliet, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Inception. These are the last three movies I’ve watched. I know, there’s no Toy Story 3 but that’s because I haven’t watched it yet and I don’t have a plan to watch it in the big screen. We are always tuned in to the Disney Channel because of our little kid at home and I know it will be shown there soon. And then I can watch Toy Story 3 again and again. There’s also no Eclipse in the list. That’s because I haven’t watched it yet. There’s really very little interest to see it actually. If it weren’t for Rob Pattinson, I swear I won’t be watching the movie anymore.

Anyway, the next movie on my list is Salt. I don’t like Angelina Jolie at all but the trailer is really luring me to the movie house to watch it. It will be shown on the 28th here.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I am sure I will watch this movie as many times as I can in 3D. The first of the two parts of the final installment of the Harry Potter series…

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Watch the official movie trailer below…

Don’t you just feel so excited? I do! I’ve read the book so many times already. While watching the trailer, I can’t help myself but get teary-eyed. The series is ending! How long before another great series like this will appear? It will probably take another generation before another J.K. Rowling will be born.

No, Stephenie Meyer, you cannot be her. Ever.

The Last Song

The Last Song

I haven’t finished the book yet but I will before I watch the movie. The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks is a story about coming home and second chances. It is a book written to be made into a movie starring teen and tween sensation Miley Cyrus together with Liam Hemsworth, her real-life boyfriend.

Truth is, I don’t like Miley at all. She seems like a trying hard kid to me. And not a good role model for the tweens and teens who adore her so much. What with her pole-dancing and inappropriate attires. But I like the novel. That’s what I can’t wait to see turned into a movie.

Have you read the book already? Will you be watching the movie?
