I was reading the other day when I heard someone strumming a guitar. I looked for the source and found that a neighbor with whom I grew up with and very close to was the one playing the guitar. He was trying out the guitar pickguards that he got from a friend so he was playing and singing at the same time.

I am reminded of how good he is with guitars and how beautiful his voice is. He isn’t playing and singing as much because he was too busy being brokenhearted. But now I believe with the guitar playing and singing the other day, he is healed and moving on.

Dylan is aspiring to become a varsity basketball player this coming school year. He is an incoming freshman in college and varsity basketball is in his list of MUST DO in college life. He played in high school so he is confident that his basketball skills and his reebok pump omni lite will get him in.

Dylan’s aspiration reminds me of a teen book I read where the lead guy took steps for him to get into the varsity team and eventually become its star player. And the apple of the eye of almost every female in school!

One of my best friends is asking me what gift I want for last Christmas. She said I am the only one left she hasn’t given a gift to. My quick reply to her is get me an ereader store and I will be happy! I think it’s already given that anything book-related is a cause of happiness for me.

She said that I should read all my unread books first before I ask for a new one. But I can’t wait for that to happen. Some books are off the shelves fast because of the popularity and before new stocks get to the bookstores, it takes weeks. Sometimes there aren’t stocks coming in anymore and I can’t let that happen, you know.

So a new book it will be! Can’t wait!

My friend’s daughter’s goal for 2012 is to go for gold! Take home more trophies than the ones she brought home this year. She is an athlete competing in triathlon events nationwide. She is quite good and it’s sad that she had to suffer from an injury in the middle of this year which sidelined her for a while. But now that she’s back in 100% shape, she plans to train more and learn more on how to be more careful with her legs but at the same time still maximizing her potential.

I told my friend to not worry about her kid unnecessarily. She can take care of herself and she has proven it time and again. Plus she has a wonderful coach who really supports not only her but all the athletes coming from their school.

My uncle has this collection of moebius models. He loves cars. In fact he has quite a number in his enlarged garage. And he also has a lot of the mini ones in his bedroom. It is a collection and a manifestation of the engineer in him, most likely. He is a mechanical engineer. Obviously, he is into mechanisms and an auto’s mechanism has fascinated him since he was a young boy.

Now that he can afford to get into his passion even more, he is really saving enough to buy the cars that he wants, both big and small.

I have big plans for 2012. I plan to slowly have the whole house renovated. I will start with the kitchen and dining room. I want something new in there. I want the glass tabletop of the dining table out. I think I am all for a rustic dining table and rustic furniture. I just want a change inside the house.

I believe that a positive change can bring in luck and more blessings. My sisters and I talked about white walls and a minimalist overall theme at home. I really want less clutter at home and I am grateful my siblings and I are on the same page.
