5 Books to Watch for in August 2010

  1. Strangers at the Feast By Jennifer Vanderbes
  2. The Sisters from Hardscrabble Bay By Beverly Jensen
  3. What We Have By Amy Boesky
  4. This Must Be the Place By Kate Racculiay
  5. Super Sad True Love Story By Gary Shteyngart

All the lists of Books to Watch for will now be under the Reading Challenge category in this blog. The reason is quite simple: I am challenging myself to read the books on the list!

I actually get my lists from Oprah.com. You know I’m a big Oprah fan and I love her book club. I really look forward to her lists of books to watch for every month. But unlike before wherein I only look at the list and see if a book interests me, this time around I am challenging myself to read ALL books in the list.

Update: August Reading Challenge

I’m afraid I lost the August Reading Challenge. I must admit I haven’t finished any book in weeks. Either my schedule won’t permit me to read (going to bed really tired, mentally and physically) or when I do have the time, I just don’t have the drive to read and would just like to catch up on sleep.

I just have to excuse myself from finishing this challenge because I don’t think I can squeeze in even a book before the month ends.

Or I might surprise myself. Hmm…

New Challenge: August Reading Challenge

August Reading Challenge

I am joining this challenge! The August Reading Challenge over at Pizza’s Book Discussion is aimed at knowing who can read the most number of books in a month. I read a lot of books but I am not really sure how many I can read in a month’s time. I will post books I finished reading here.

Here’s my list:
1. My Sister’s Keeper – 50% done
2.
3.

I might end up reading only three books or more than that depending on the amount of work I have for this month.
